The new season registration opens on April 1, 2019 and this membership will be good for the entire 2019-2020 hockey season. Choose 2019-2020 season when registering

About Tacoma Junior Hockey Association TJHA
TJHA offers programs for ages 4–18 at all skill levels. We have learn to skate programs, hockey fundamentals programs, and competitive hockey teams at the 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, and 18U levels.
The mission of TJHA is to teach the members of the community the sport of ice hockey, developing team play and individual skills through clinics and team competition by emphasizing sportsmanship, cooperation, fun, self-discipline, self-confidence, and respect for others. TJHA also will strive for the highest level of customer service to the membership to maintain and insure growth of hockey in the Tacoma area.

We will be hosting a USA Hockey Try Hockey For Free event on February 23rd at 2:25pm at Tacoma Twin Rinks. More info to register to come. For more info, call the rink at 253-272-PUCK.
Rockets Launch Pad
Rockets Launch Pad Stage 1 – Learn To Play for ages 4+-
This program will be the first stage of 3 to gain the skills necessary to play on our 8U Full Season Teams. We will focus on skating skills used for hockey. Skaters will learn a variety of skills ranging from forward skating to backward skating on one and two feet, stick handling, and some game instruction. This will be a 12 week session, costing $99/session. We will offer 3 sessions throughout the year. The Fall Session will begin Saturday, October 6 at 9:10am. The Winter Session will begin January 5, 2019. The Summer Session will begin April 6th, 2019. Rental gear is available upon request.
Launch Pad Stage 2
Stage 2 will focus on some team practice type skills. We will continue to work on skating skills and we will work on passing, shooting, skating with a puck and other skills needed to be able to participate in a team practice. This will be a 12 week session, costing $99/session. We will offer 3 sessions throughout the year. The Fall Session will begin Saturday, October 5. The Winter Session will begin January 4. The Summer Session will begin April 6th, 2019 at 10:30am. Rental gear is available upon request.
Stage 3 – In House Play
This program is for the player that is ready to graduate from lessons and is ready to commit to 2 times a week for hockey. Players will have one practice and one game a week. All games will be played at Tacoma Twin Rinks. There will be 2 “seasons” for this program. The first will be September 15, 2018-November 17, 2018 and then the second will start January 5, 2019 – March 9, 2019. The cost of this program per “season” is $299.00. Each player will also get a team jersey.
Tacoma Junior Hockey Association (TJHA) fields teams in accordance with USA Hockey guidelines. Teams are structured according to the players’ age. For the 2018–2019 season, the calendar year in which the player was born will determine which level they will skate. As a general guide, the teams are structured by the following age groups: We will offer both Recreational and Travel level teams in these divisions if the number of players registered allows.
